The EPI project aims to develop and improve local inclusion and integration strategies addressing migrants living in seven different cities across Europe – Cartagena (Spain), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Dietzenbach (Germany), Linkoping (Sweden), Lublin (Poland), Ravenna (Italy), and Riga (Latvia).

In order to boost civil dialogue and initiate concrete partnerships in the target cities, EPI gathers together a variety of local authorities’ representatives, welfare institutions, experienced CSOs and grass root NGOs building a transnational network of partners and stakeholders seriously interested and committed to foster integration of third-country nationals through:

  1. Assessment of cities’ performances in relation to the integration of migrants through the implementation of an Intercultural Review in each city. The results of the Review support cities in defining policy areas where integration of migrants is more needed and provide a basis for developing tailored solutions.
  2. Engagement of city stakeholders in a participatory policy design process aimed to identify and co-design solutions;
  3. Definition of and pilot implementation of one City Integration Strategy in each city.
  4. Dissemination project methods and results at European level through online (e.g. website, social media, videos) and offline tools (e.g. Reports, National conferences, Final European Conference). Specific actions will be taken to identify cities outside the consortium interested to replicate project methods and tools in their territories.

EPI started on 1 January 2020 and will end on 30 June 2022.
The project has received funding from the European Union’s AMIF program under the grant agreement 863614.
